As part of its strategy to empower and support Emirati entrepreneurs and develop the national entrepreneurship ecosystem, the Emirates Entrepreneurship Association has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Wio Bank PJSC, during a formal signing ceremony held in Abu Dhabi.

Under this agreement, the Association and Wio Bank—the region’s first fully integrated digital financial platform—will collaborate to provide essential support for the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), promote innovation in the sector, and deliver innovative financial products and services tailored to the needs of Emirati entrepreneurs.

Wio Bank was established to redefine banking in the UAE for both businesses and consumers. The bank’s second digital product, Wio Personal, offers individuals a daily banking platform that reshapes how they view, manage, and grow their finances. It gives users unmatched financial visibility and flexibility, becoming a launchpad for achieving personal financial goals through an exceptional experience that includes smart cards and exclusive rewards.

In the SME banking space, Wio Business has introduced several enhancements, such as multi-currency accounts, a wage protection system, and a dedicated web application for SMEs. Together, these solutions have attracted over 50,000 customers by the end of the year—demonstrating the platform’s commitment to delivering strong banking solutions that address the evolving needs of small and medium-sized enterprises.

On the sidelines of the ceremony, Jassim Al Shukr, Secretary-General of the Emirates Entrepreneurship Association, stated:
