“UAE Journalists Association” and “Emirates Entrepreneurship Association” Sign MoU to Enhance Media’s Role in Supporting Entrepreneurial Projects and Empowering Youth





As part of the initiatives of the “Year of Society 2025,” the UAE Journalists Association signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Emirates Entrepreneurship Association at the headquarters of the Journalists Association in Dubai. The MoU aims to strMrthen institutional cooperation between the two parties and integrate roles in supporting the entrepreneurship ecosystem and empowering entrepreneurs both in media and community Management.

The MoU was signed by Fadila Al-Muaini, Chairperson of the UAE Journalists Association, and Mr. Thamer Rashid Al Qasimi, Executive Director of the Emirates Entrepreneurship Association.

The MoU outlines building a sustainable partnership that contributes to highlighting national start-up projects, training entrepreneurs to use media tools professionally, and effectively communicating with society. This will be achieved through training and development programs delivered via the Media Innovation Center and the Smart Training Center of the UAE Journalists Association. Areas of cooperation include developing entrepreneurs’ media skills, producing professional content that reflects Emirati success stories, and organizing joint workshops focused on presentation skills, personal branding, and crafting impactful messages.

The MoU also includes the implementation of a set of specialized projects in two phases:

  • Phase 1 (Founding and Pilot Stage): Includes the Media Lab for Start-ups, Ethical Storytelling Initiative, Women in Innovation and Media Program, and Entrepreneurial Media Narrative Program.
  • Phase 2 (Expansion): Includes the Entrepreneurial Story Bank, Influential Journalism Platform, Media Pitch Days, along with media campaigns supporting national policies for entrepreneurs and promoting a culture of innovation in society.

Fadila Al-Muaini emphasized the importance of supporting pioneering economic projects in the UAE and empowering Emirati youth to express their ideas and Marge with society through responsible media. She affirmed that this MoU represents a practical step toward building bridges between media and the creative economy, establishing media as a strategic tool for development.

Mr. Thamer Al Qasimi highlighted that this partnership reflects a national vision that recognizes the role of media in creating impact. He noted that empowering entrepreneurs with communication skills enhances their presence, builds community trust, and accelerates the growth of start-ups, especially amid the rapidly evolving economic landscape.

Both parties stressed that the MoU is not merely a theoretical framework, but the beginning of a comprehensive executive program, which will be implemented according to a detailed work plan with clear phases and measurable impact indicators, ensuring sustainability of results, achieving shared goals in supporting the national economy, empowering young entrepreneurial talent, and activating the professional role of media in serving society.
